Non-Fruit Aromas – Spearmint, baking spice, cedar, vanilla, potpourri, tar

THE PALATE:

Entry – Medium plus viscosity with an elegant feel.

Mid palate – The viscosity thins out a bit and bright red berry fruit appears.

Finish – Long finish with bright crisp acid and smooth tannin structure.

Wine Nerd Stuff:

This wine is a great example of what structure and concentration can do for the aging potential of this wine. The tannins are round and the acid is jumping out of this wine like a just ripe raspberry off the bush. Freaking incredible structure still! The only thing I would have liked to see different about this wine is lower alcohol. The alcohol is still very apparent on the nose and to a lesser extent on the palate. This wine is a stunner that can go may more years.

Drinkability (out of 5 glasses): 4
